11 killed in J&K, four militant hideouts smashed
Srinagar, June 26 : Eleven people, including eight militants and two counter-insurgents, were killed in separate incidents of violence in Jammu and Kashmir where security forces smashed four hideouts of ultras since last evening.

Four militants of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and
Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) outfits were killed in a gun battle
with security forces in Sogam area of Kupwara district today,
an official spokesman said.
They were identified as LeT's self-styled district commander Abu Maviya and Abu Viqas, and Abu Wasim and Abu Hamid of JeM. While three of them were Pakistani nationals, the fourth hailed from Afghanistan, he said. Four AK rifles, their 12 magazines, 252 rounds, an under barrel grenade launcher grenade, four wireless sets, afghan currency worth Rs 1,650 and some Pakistani currency were recovered from them.
In another encounter, two Pakistani militants Shaheen Gujrati alias Basharat and Nasar Mehmood alias Saifullah Gujrati and two counter-insurgent Ikhwan activists were killed and another injured Gudar-Kulgam village in Anantnag district last night.
