Srinagar, Oct 14: Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief Ghulam Nabi Azad today charged the National Conference with "misusing" state machinery to "influence" MLAs belonging to his party and independents. "I have been told that some police officials had gone to the airport when our MLAs were coming yesterday and tried to take them to the NC office. But our MLAs proved much smarter for them and gave them a slip," he told reporters here.
Azad also claimed that one independent candidate, Manohar Lal Sharma, was still missing.
When asked for his reaction on National Conference trying to gather support from other MLAs, Azad said "if they have the majority, then who can stop them from forming the next government." Bureau Report
