Second Pak child with cardiac problem arrives for treatment
Bangalore, July 25: Junaid Khalid, the second Pakistani child who arrived here with his parents for treatment of heart problem at a cardiac speciality hospital here underwent preliminary tests today.
Bangalore, July 25: Junaid Khalid, the second Pakistani child who arrived here with his parents for treatment of heart problem at a cardiac speciality hospital here underwent preliminary tests today.
"The child has a very complex heart problem. Preliminary investigations are still on. Only after doing the angiogram, which we may do either today or tomorrow, further course of action will be decided," Dr Devi Shetty, chairman of Narayana Hrudayalaya told newspersons.
The child was admitted to the semi-special ward yesterday and is "under the care of paediatric cardiac surgeon Dr Rajesh Sharma," he said.
Junaid, arrived in Delhi on the Lahore-Delhi bus on July 23. He is the second Pakistani child to receive treatment in India after the resumption of bus service between the two countries.
Two-and-a-half-year-old Noor Fatima, who came in the first bus service from Lahore underwent open heart surgery at the hospital recently is on the road to recovery.
Junaid is also being treated by Dr Sharma, who led the team that operated upon Noor Fatima on July 15.
