Imphal, May 28: A five-day 'Manipur market bandh' to protest against the killing of local businessman Manoj Kumar Sethi by unknown militants began today amid tight security with all shops and market complex here remaining closed. A spokesperson of the all Manipur Nupi Keithel Marup (Manipur Market Women's Association), which organised the bandh, said the association members started sit-in protests at the market complex in Khwairabandh area to press their demand for the revelation of Sethi's killers. She told a news agency that they would decide the future course of action if the government failed to reveal the identity of the kidnappers within five days from today.

The biggest marketing complex in the state here, Khwairamband Bazar, wore a deserted look because of the bandh.
The bullet-riddled body of Sethi (35) was found yesterday morning at a place in the interior of Thoubal district about a month after his abduction.
