Jodhpur, Aug 08: Two local courts today allowed Bollywood star Salman Khan, facing trial in poaching cases, to go abroad for film shooting and live stage show.
Chief Judicial Magistrate Mohammad Salim Mallik and Judicial Magistrate Maneesha Singh granted the permission to Khan on applications filed by actor's counsel Hastimal Saraswat separately in both the courts.
Saraswat told the courts that Khan was scheduled to visit South Africa for the shooting of Hindi feature film ‘No Entry’ from August 15 to September 06. He is also to perform at a live stage show in South Africa on September 07 and 08. He said the foreign visit of Khan, main accused in the three poaching cases, would not affect the trial in any way.
After hearing arguments the two courts, in respective orders, allowed his to visit South Africa from August 15 to September 10.
Besides the three cases of poaching the actor is also facing a case under arms act. The cases were registered in 1998 when khan was here in connection with the shooting of Sooraj Barjatya's film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’.
