Nagpur, Nov 23: Wing Commander Shiv Singh Dholiya with Zen Air, Captain Sachin Sharad Ogale piloting a Cessna and squadron leader D K Shah piloting an HPT 32 came out with "flying colours" winning in their respective categories in `Air Race India 2003', here today. Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani presented them cash prizes of Rs one lakh each and mementos to mark the grand finale of the race, held to celebrate the first centenary of manned flight by the Wright Brothers.

Pilot flight Lt V K Singh and co-pilot Namrata Chaturvedi were declared winners in the helicopters category and awarded a package tour to Paris for three days. The power-hang-glider category was won by Wg Cdr Dholiya, Wg Cdr A L Masand and Sqn Ldr Y Praksh Rao (pilot) and Flt Lt S K Yadav (co-pilot).

The light aircraft category was won by Capt Sachin Sharad Ogale, Phiroze Batliwala and Ciraf Cooper (pilot) and Nukul Lamba (co-pilot).


The medium and heavy aircraft category was won by Sqn Ldr D K Shah (pilot), Flt Lt Karishma Bhalla (co-pilot), Sqn Ldr R S Nandedkar, Sqn Ldr K Praveen. Bureau Report
