Vancouver, Nov 17: The government prosecutors will this week present their final witnesses at the Canadian court hearing the case against Ripudaman Singh Malik and Ajaib Singh Bagri, who have been charged in the 1985 bombing of an Air India Jet that killed 329 people on board. The governments's key witness, a woman described as Malik's former lover, is expected to complete her testimony early this week. Her identity has not been revealed for legal reasons. Nick Rowe, an intelligence agent who dealt with the woman, is also expected to depose. Rowe will be among the last few witnesses called to testify against Malik and Bagri. The prosecutors are expected to begin within weeks the presentation of forensic evidence against the pair.

Malik and Bagri are each charged with eight counts of murder and conspiracy in the bombings which also claimed the lives of two Japanese baggage handlers.
According to prosecutors, two bombs were planted on Air India jets in Vancouver.

Two baggage handlers died at Japan's Narita Airport as they transferred one suitcase to Air India flight 301.
