Islamabad, Jan 01: External Affairs Minister Yashwant Sinha will have informal talks with his counterparts from other Saarc countries shortly after his arrival today to attend the ministerial level meeting ahead of the regional groupings summit. The foreign ministers would be holding two-day meeting from January 02 to finalise the agenda for the Saarc heads of State and Government 3-day summit from January 04.

Official sources here said a special Indian Airlines flight carrying Sinha, along with the entourage of officials from the external affairs ministry would be one of the first flight to arrive here as the two countries formally open their skies on the morning of the new year tomorrow, after a gap of two years.

Pakistan officials confirmed that the six foreign ministers along with the host Khurshid Mehmood Kasuri would be in Islamabad by noon and scheduled to hold informal consultations before their formal meetings on Jan 02. Bureau Report
