Sale of meat and liquor prohibited in holy town of Katra
Jammu, Nov 07: The sale and consumption of meat and liquor have been prohibited in the holy town of Katra and some adjoining areas by the Additional Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board.
Jammu, Nov 07: The sale and consumption of meat and
liquor have been prohibited in the holy town of Katra and some
adjoining areas by the Additional Chief Executive Officer,
Shri Mata Vaishnodevi Shrine Board.
The order, imposed under section 144 CRPC, will be
effective in areas including track to the holy cave and both
sides of it upto a distance of one km, Katra town, village
Partal and Dana, Tileri Road including villages Chamba, Serli
and Bhagta, the ACEO, Rohit Kansal said.
Jammu road including villages Parthal, Serward upto Agharjitto will also come under the purview of the order which will be effective immediately, Kansal added.
