Amitabh mania takes on; track suit auction sees 1000 bidders
Mumbai, Oct 22: The Amitabh Bachchan magic was unleashed once again today after the track suit worn by the mega star in his recently released film, Baghban, saw nearly 1000 crazy fans bidding for his apparel, during an on-air auction conducted by a radio station.

The auction for the grey-steel track suit, worn by the
veteran superstar on three different occasions in the film,
began at 8 am and closed at 6 pm, with nearly 1000
Bachchan fans feverishly bidding for the apparel.

Currently they were two contenders for the suit, one a Canada-based person and second an employee of an appliance company. The winner, whose identity has been kept a secret, would be revealed tomorrow.
The bidding was conducted via the short messaging system (SMS), where listeners were asked to send in an SMS with the amount they were willing to bid for, he said.
The proceeds of the auction would go towards funding the projects of Pratham, an organisation involved in education of children from the low strata of society.
