Patna, May 14: Riding high on the success wave, RJD supremo Laloo Prasad Yadav today said wrongs done by the NDA government would be put right. He promised to resurrect all corruption cases that were perpetrated under the NDA regime. Talking to reporters here, Laloo said accused Centre of always being indifferent to Bihar. He said, “Bihar is considered a backward state and I will ensure that it is brought in the mainstream now. I am going to Delhi tomorrow to help in the formation of government.”

Playing his cards very carefully, Laloo, on the question of whether he would take up the job of Deputy Prime Minister said, “Our main priority is not the post of Deputy Prime Minister or Prime Minister, we only want development…of dalits and…uplift of the poor.”

He further added that the common minimum programme should have a concrete structure and should not be mere eyewash.

Tactfully avoiding the question of whether RJD would join the government or extend outside support to it, he said, “Let the time come, I would be leaving for Delhi tomorrow. Leave some questions for me to answer there.” Bureau Report
