New Delhi, Sept 28: Prime suspect in Shivani Bhatnagar murder case, R K Sharma, who was produced in the Karkardooma court in Delhi on Saturday, has been remanded to police custody for 10 days by the court.
Delhi Police had brought him to the capital after obtaining a transit remand from an Ambala court. After eluding police for nearly two months, Sharma surrendered in an Ambala court on Friday and was remanded to judicial custody till October 10. Earlier, Ambala Chief Judicial Magistrate Sarita Gupta, in whose court Sharma gave himself up on Friday, directed the Delhi Police to produce him in the court of J P Narain at Karkardooma before 5 pm on Saturday.
The court directed that Sharma`s medical examination be done in the civil hospital here before taking him to Delhi.
