New Delhi, Aug 25: Finance Minister Jaswant Singh said on Monday the fall in equity markets after the blasts in Mumbai was a `small blip` and the markets remained stable.
New Delhi, Aug 25: Finance Minister Jaswant Singh said on Monday the fall in equity markets after the blasts in Mumbai was a "small blip" and the markets remained stable.
"It was a small blip, markets are stable, fundamentals are strong," Singh told reporters when asked if the blasts would have any impact on financial markets.
The 30-issue main index on the Bombay Stock Exchange ended down 2.92 per cent after the city was rocked by two blasts that killed at least 40 people and wounded scores. Bureau Report
