Southern Iraq, Mar 22: Soldiers from the US army's air assault division crossed into southern Iraq today to play what one commander said would be a "significant role" in the coalition onslaught. More than 1,000 vehicles from the 101st airborne division, the "screaming eagles", had massed in northern Kuwait near the Iraqi border yesterday.
