New Delhi, July 05: The Delhi unit of Shiv Sena today criticised Uttar Pradesh government for deleting the chapters on Lord Rama and Krishna, Shivaji and Vir Sarvarkar from the primary school curricula in the state.
"We had on objections on the inclusion of chapters on Dr Ambedkar, Jyotibha Phule and Jhalkari Bai but comparing them with Lord Rama and Krishna would amount to their insult," Shiv Sena's Delhi unit chief Jai Bhagwan Goel said in a statement.
Goel has also written a letter to Union Human Resource Development Minister M M Joshi requesting him to advise Chief Minister Mayawati to change her "anti-Hindu attitude", the statement quoted him as saying. Demanding re-inclusion of the deleted chapters in the curricula, Goel said Mayawati should tender a public apology for the act. Bureau Report
