New Delhi, Apr 21: A year after entering the Indian shores, Elite model management is set to hold a modelling contest in the country, with the winners getting to participate in the international Elite model look pageant. The India edition of the Elite model look contest will be held in August at either Mumbai or New Delhi, to time it with the international pageant to be held in the Chinese city of Shanghai in October. "It will be the firstever Elite model look contest to be held in India, and we will have contestants chosen from entries from all over the country as well as some of the models who are already signed up with the agency," Sushma Puri, director and CEO of Elite model management, told a news agency here today. Three finalists from the contest in India will get a chance to participate in the international Elite model look pageant, Puri said. She said the modelling agency is managing around 90 models at present, but there is a need for fresh faces for films, advertisements and fashion shows.

"It is a good thing that so many talent hunts and pageants are taking place as there is a huge demand for new faces," Puri said.
