Chennai, Apr 10: In a late night swoop yesterday, the city police arrested DMK youth wing leader and former Chennai mayor M K Stalin on charges of 'tresspassing' the Queen Mary's College campus yesterday to address agitating women students. He was taken into custody from his city residence at Velacheri at 11.30 pm, police said. The police, however, remained tight lipped about where Stalin, son of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Karunanidhi, was being taken. Stalin had gone to the campus, a restricted area in view of the agitation, to express solidarity with the women students, protesting against the state government's decision to take over their college campus and construct a new state secretariat there.
