Jamshedpur, Mar 24: Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda, who assumed office last week, today said the recent political crisis in the state was 'deliberately created' by anti-Jharkhand forces to put a spanner in the rapid development work undertaken by the BJP-led NDA government. "A conspiracy was hatched by those who were opposed to creation of Jharkhand to pull down the 28-month old Babulal Marandi government. These vested interests were now struggling for identity," he told a function organised by BJP east Singhbhum committee to felicitate him.
"Despite the political uncertainties, the NDA partners regrouped again ... the government is not prepared to succumb to pressure tactics. It is committed to the all round and rapid development of Jharkhand and will fulfill the aspiration of the masses," Munda, a MLA from Kharswan assembly seat in neighbouring Saraikela-Kharswan district said.
Only the present NDA government could usher in all round development of the tribal state, which would be made a model state, he claimed and thanked the BJP workers for supporting him.
Marandi, after facing nearly a month-long dissidence among NDA alliance, stepped down on march 17 after his government was reduced to a minority following the defeat in the floor of the house on a cut motion.
