Patiala, Oct 28: Noted Punjabi singer, Daler Mehndi has been called by the DIG of Patiala IPS Sahota tomorrow for further questioning in the alleged human trafficking case against him, his brother and three others. The singer underwent a four questioning session here this afternoon with the police claiming that he adopted a "non-cooperative attitude" for the second day running in the investigation of the cases.
SSP of Patiala Paramraj Singh Umranangal told reporters that the singer had been summoned by the dig tomorrow. His attitude was non-cooperative today, he added
Daler, who arrived at the Patiala Sadar Police Station at about three pm was questioned by the special investigation team (SIT) headed by SP R L Monga.
He was let off a little after seven pm and during the questioning he was also taken to the criminal investigation agency (CIA) headquarters here.
The singer said that he was yet to decide whether to appear tomorrow or not.
"I may take a break tomorrow as I am feeling tired," Daler said adding, "I am cooperating and if they are not satisfied what can I do."
The police told the singer that the documents of the American embassy submitted by him to support his claim that he had a fixed troupe of 12 members who had been going on foreign rips since 1998 would be got verified from the embassy through the External Affairs Ministry
