Mumbai, Oct 13: A special court, hearing the 1993 bomb blast case, has summoned 86 accused, including film actor Sanjay Dutt, to appear before it today failing which their bail would be cancelled.
The court had earlier exempted them from appearance till yesterday and directed them to remain present today without fail. In all 30 other accused lodged in central prison would also be produced today.
In another development, designated Judge P D Kode has allowed Sanjay to visit Ooty till October 29 for shooting of film 'Rakhth'. However, he has been summoned today.
Other accused on bail have urged the court to allow them freedom to go to their native places outside Maharashtra during Diwali holidays. The court would give its ruling today, defence lawyer Farhana Shah told a news agency.
Sanjay is facing the charge of possessing an AK-56 rifle and destroying the weapon. He has already denied the charges.



The court had earlier modified the charge of conspiracy framed against Sanjay and 115 others with a view to include the name of co-accused Majnu Mustaffa, brother of absconding accused Mohammed Dossa.



CBI examined 686 witnesses and the evidence has crossed 13,000 pages. The accused are charged with carrying out serial blasts on March 12, 1993 which killed 257 people and injured 713 besides damaging property worth Rs 27 crore.
