Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit on Saturday handed over possession papers to allottees of industrial plots in Bawana in north-west Delhi. The chief minister said a committee would look into the problems of electricity, water and roads in the rural areas of Delhi and chart out steps for speedy developmental activities.
She said land compensation money would be given to the farmers at their respective villages and the office of Delhi State Industrial Development Corporation (DSIDC). Delhi Industry Minister Deep Chand Bandhu said rehabilitation of industrial workers would top the agenda in the year 2002. He said, “16,000 allottees would be handed over possession of their plots.”
