New Delhi, Sept 22: Cisco Systems today announced launch of security and wireless curricula for students in India under which its networking academies across 22 states would offer these courses. "Fundamentals of network security and wireless LAN curricula are being launched in India through Cisco networking academy programme in 22 states,' a Cisco release said here.
IIT Hyderabad will roll out the curricula across the networking academies.
Network security course teaches students to design and implement security solutions to reduce the risk of revenue loss and vulnerability while wireless LAN offering is an introductory course about design, planning, implementation, operation and troubleshooting of wireless networks.
"Wireless LAN and security are among the two hot technologies being adopted in India across segments. The proliferation of these technologies is driving up the demand for skilled professionals and to address this demand, Cisco has launched these curricula", Ranajoy Punja, VP, marketing, India & Saarc, Cisco Systems, said.
