Kathmandu, Nov 16: Maoist rebels have shot dead 10 security personnel in different parts of the country, police said today. Two soldiers were shot dead today by Maoist rebels in southeastern Nepal, police said. "The Maoists shot dead two soldiers on duty in Lahan in Sihara district Sunday afternoon," police said. Two more soldiers were killed at Majuwadeurali in the western Gorkha district, also today, police said. Three army men were killed in a clash with the rebels at Kharidami in the southern Janakpur district today and three in the western Gulmi district last evening, police said. The guerrillas also set fire to an education office in the eastern Khotang district early today causing 30 million rupees (408,000 dollars) worth of damage, police said.
