Lucknow, Oct 01: A special court today discharged two independent legislators from Uttar Pradesh Raghuraj Pratap Singh alias Raja Bhaiyya and Dhananjay Singh from all charges under the purview of Gangsters Act. Special judge R A Kaushik accepted the state government`s proposal to withdraw the act slapped on the two legislators by the erstwhile Mayawati government. V K Shahi, counsel for Raja Bhaiyya said that the court accepted the proposal of the state government to withdraw Gangsters Act and subsequently discharged the legislators of all charges framed under the purview of the act.
