Bangalore, Sept 25: Union Agriculture Minister and Senior BJP leader Rajnath Singh today ruled out the possibility of an alliance with BSP in the coming assembly elections in four states, saying his party's 'doors are totally shut' for BSP. "Doors are totally shut for BSP," Singh told reporters after speaking at an RSS function organised here this evening on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Sangh ideologue Deendayal Upadhyaya. Responding to a query, he also expressed surprise over Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Samajvadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav's statement that his party was prepared to go closer to BJP if it gave up its pet issues, including construction of Ram temple and uniform civil code. "Why is he speaking like that," he said, adding BJP had never entertained the idea of an alliance with SP.
Earlier, speaking at the function, Singh said 'political opponents' were unfortunately equating spiritualism with communalism. Spiritualism did not mean visiting a temple or a mosque or any place of worship. It was 'an elevation of mind'.

Hailing the concept of 'integral humanism' as propounded by Upadhyaya, he said it did not take an isolated view of man, but looked at him in a holistic manner. The ideas of Upadhyaya were very much relevant even today as his thinking was 'perfect and comprehensive', he said.
