Raipur, June 30: Vowing to oust the Ajit Jogi government in Chhattisgarh, the main opposition BJP has decided to go it alone in the year-end assembly polls and concentrate more on reserved seats that constitute half of the constituencies. A meeting of the state BJP office bearers yesterday discussed the strategy for the elections to the 90-member state assembly and it was decided to adopt an aggressive stand against the congress government, party sources told a news agency here today. Party national general secretary Pramod Mahajan, organising secretary Sanjay Joshi and state election incharge and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi participated in the meeting, sources said. Confident about its strength, the state BJP has decided to go it alone in the assembly elections. The meeting also discussed the preparation for the national executive of the party to be held here for three days from July 18 to draft an action plan on how to increase the party's strength in Chhattisgarh and also in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Delhi assembly elections, they said.

Advising the party leaders and office bearers to sink their differences ahead of the polls, Mahajan asked them to meet the expectation of the people and oust the Jogi government since an "undeclared emergency" has been clamped in the state and the people wanted to get rid of it. Bureau Report
