Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav has said that India has been missing "opportunities" to teach a lesson to Pakistan for sponsoring cross border terrorism. The first opportunity came to India during the Kargil episode when the Centre had announced that strikes would be carried out on terrorist training camps on Pak side of the border. The attack on the Amarnath Yatra pilgrims was the second, he told newsmen.

He said his party would extend support to the Government in taking action against Pakistan. It was for the Government to decide the kind of "action" it desired to take, he added. Bureau Report
