Bridgetown,Barbados,Mar 06: Model Jodie Kidd chased an intruder who fired a single shot as he fled from her family home in Barbados, her father said Thursday. No one was injured.
Kidd, 25, was with her boyfriend and found the would-be burglar standing in her bedroom in the early morning hours of Monday, father John Kidd said.
The supermodel was staying with her family at the Holders House mansion outside the capital when the break-in happened and she was still there Thursday, Kidd said.
She and her boyfriend chased the would-be robber off the grounds and when he realized he was being pursued he fired one shot, he said.
Kidd said it was dark out and it was not clear if the intruder fired in the direction of his daughter and her boyfriend. "It was a long way from the house," he said. "He did fire a gun."
Nothing was missing from the house, Kidd said. Police said they had not made any arrests and nobody is in custody in connection with the incident.
