Shimla, Aug 20: The body of 26-year-old JNU student Somyajit Guha, who had been missing since September 17, 2002 after being separated from a trekking party in the tribal pin-Parvati Valley of Himachal, has been found, official sources said today. Guha's body was spotted in the pin valley by a foreign trekker three days ago, who informed the sub-divisional office at Kaza. A police party was sent to the valley which brought the body to Kaza last night from where it would be taken to Kullu to be handed over to the parents.
The information about Guha's body was also given by another trekking party at the Himalayan mountaineering institute, Manali.
Two aerial search operations had been launched for the missing Guha but to no avail following which the search was abandoned till the melting of snow. Bureau Report
