Jaipur, Aug 06: More than 200 pigeons were found dead under mysterious circumstances in Bamanwas town in Sawai Madhopur district, reports reaching here today said. The birds started dying after feeding on a temple roof yesterday, villagers told district officials. The suspected cause of the deaths is said to be poisonous wheat spread on the temple roof as feed for the birds, veterinary experts said. The feed might have been contaminated with pesticide, they added. A sample of the wheat feed has been sent for chemical analysis and a postmortem of a dead bird was also being conducted to ascertain the exact cause of death, official sources said. Bureau Report
