Legendary cartoonist RK Laxman, creator of `Common Man`, dies aged 94

New Delhi: Eminent cartoonist RK Laxman passed away on January 26, 2015.
Following his ill health Laxman was put back on ventilator support on Sunday morning.
A legendary cartoonist, who created the `The Common Man` was admitted in a private hospital earlier this month following multiple-organ failure.
Whereas, his condition was better until today morning when he was admitted again to a hospital in Pune.
His demise has left a major void. PM Narendra Modi took to Twitter to pay his condolences.
Finance Minister Arun Jaitley posted: Condolences on the sad demise of eminent cartoonist R K Laxman. He made his daily point while making us laugh.
Bollywood stars also condole the demise of RK Laxaman, actor Farhan Akhtar posted: The common man just lost its first citizen. RIP R.K Laxman.
Vishal Dadlani too remembered the legend.
A Magsaysay laureate, Laxman's cartoons regaled generations since 1950s. However, a few years ago he stopped drawing due to ill health.
