Chennai, July 01: The BJP ministers from Tamil Nadu in the Vajpayee ministry and party MPs from the state would soon call on Prime Minister A B Vajpayee to present a memorandum seeking an early solution of inter-state river disputes. State BJP president C P Radhakrishnan told reporters here today that the memorandum would urge Vajpayee to take early steps to solve the Cauvery and Mullaiperiyar issues.
He said the party's awakening yatra, launched at Kanyakumari on June 25 last, would culminate here at a rally on August 21 next, in which Deputy Prime Minister L K Advani, BJP president M Venkaiah Naidu, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Sushma Swaraj and BJP general secretary Promod Mahajan would address.
The response to the yatra was overwhelming, he claimed.
