New Delhi, Mar 16: Delhi Police arrested two alleged associates of Abdul Karim Telgi, the main accused in the multi-crore fake stamp paper scam, and recovered fake stamp papers worth Rs 60 lakh from their possession. Vinod, alias Rahul, and Parminder were arrested by Crime Branch near PVR cinema in Vikas Puri area of west Delhi last night following a tip off, police said today.

Fake stamp papers worth Rs 5 lakh were recovered from them on the spot. During subsequent search at their residences, more fake stamp papers worth Rs 55 lakh were recovered.

The two are alleged to be associates of one Deepak, a close accomplice of Telgi who is currently lodged in a Karnataka jail.

The duo had allegedly received the fake stamp papers from Telgi and were trying to sell them off. Bureau Report
