Kochi, Sept 29: Claimed as the biggest "tactical games" held so far, the Indian and US navies today commenced their joint exercise, the fourth in the series of Malabar exercises off Kerala coast. While the US vessels Paul F Foster and US chancellors Ville, which were anchored 10 miles off Kochi, left for the arena of the exercise this morning, the Indian vessels ins Delhi and INS Gomti had left yesterday itself, Navy sources said.

Indian and US vessels would meet somewhere on the Kerala coast and then perform flying and submarine warfare exercises.
Over 1500 US and Indian naval personnel are participating in the exercise which is to concluded on October two.

During the four-day event multi-task manoeuvers would be performed by the two navies to test each others capabilities at all levels of naval operations. Bureau Report
