Patiala, Oct 16: A local court today extended the police remand of Shamsher Singh, brother of noted Punjabi singer Daler Mehndi, till October 18 in a case of alleged human trafficking. Shamsher was produced before Sub Judge P S Dhanoa here who accepted the police plea for the extension of his remand. The case was registered against Shamsher, his brother Daler Mehndi and three others after one Bakshish Singh, a resident of Belwara in the district, alleged that he had paid Rs 13 lakh out of the Rs 15 lakh demanded by them for sending him abroad, which was not done.
