Dhar (MP), Sept 19: Security in and around the controversial Bhojshala shrine here was tightened today in the wake of dismissal by Madhya Pradesh High Court of the petition challenging its opening for Hindus every Tuesday. A strict vigil was mounted as part of an elaborate security arrangement in view of reports of plans to trigger a bomb explosion at Bhojshala, a spokesman of the security agency engaged to maintain security said.

Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has engaged Security and Intelligence Services (SIS) for maintaining security and intelligence inside the Bhojshala.

Giving a detailed account of the measures to beef up security, SIS chief Malram Yadav told newspersons that the personnel manning Bhojshala have been given strict instruction to maintain "maximum alert."
He said that fresh directives for enhanced security measures were given in view of reports about an alleged plan of bomb attack on Bhojshala and the high court yesterday dismissing the writ petition filed by a group of Muslim leaders from Dhar.

At the same time, government agencies are also looking into the alleged plan of bomb blast, he said.

Special Armed Force (SAF) personnel of Madhya Pradesh Police have been deployed in strength outside Bhojshala and nearby areas to prevent any untoward incident.
