Dehradun, Feb 4: Samajwadi Party has decided to contest all the five Lok Sabha seats from Uttaranchal alone, the party's national general secretary, Vinod Bardthwal said.
Bardthwal said the names of all those candidates would be decided at its meeting that would be held here. He said that SP had also decided not to have alliance with any political party nor with any group to contest the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Commenting at the Centre's interim budget which was presented in the Lok Sabha yesterday Bardthwal expressed his disappointment as the budget had totally ignored the unemployed. Further, the budgetary provision had not made it clear from where the governemnt would arrange the funds required to complete some of its publicised projects and schemes.
Critising the present Uttaranchal government, Bardthwal said the Chief Minister N D Tiwari had never taken the Opposition parties in confidence nor he has ever called a meeting over the past two years.
