Sporadic incidents of arson, stone throwing and looting were reported today in two sensitive localities in neighbouring Bharuch district town, police said in Surat. Curfew was lifted on Monday after two days of violence in the town.

Police bandobust has been strengthened in the disturbed areas to control the situation.
