Mumbai: Bollywood celebrities today took to Twitter to laud Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni's achievements after he announced his retirement from Test matches.

Dhoni, 33, today retired from the Test cricket, citing strain of playing all formats, after his team lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy to Australia in Melbourne. 'Ugly' director Anurag Kashyap tweeted, "Dhoni? Kyon? You will be missed."


Arjun Kapoor said, "Dhoni retires from test cricket? It feels like yesterday I saw him making his debut... Time flies and so did the ball of his bat. Legend!!!


Shekhar Kapur tweeted, "We will miss you MS Dhoni. Such an enigmatic player/captain/man. As long as you were on the field, anything could happen. #Dhoni #TESTCRICKET."


'Mere Dad Ki Maruti' actor Saqib Saleem said Dhoni has been one of the most successful players of today's time. "One of the most impactful players of this era... Blessed to have seen him play! Lets get the world cup now Mahi," he wrote.


Rahul Bose tweeted, "Missed the last hour of play. And Dhoni's retirement from tests. Might have to make my lunches shorter. #AusvsInd."
Arjun Rampal said Dhoni gave Indian cricket some amazing memories. "Captain our captain @msdhoni hangs up his gloves from test cricket. Your leadership, gave us our most amazing memories. Will miss u. You are the best," Rampal said.


The wicket keeper-batsman remains one of the most successful captains ever for India, having led the side to the top of ICC rankings in Tests and ODIs.
