Mumbai: Ace comedian Kapil Sharma who had questioned Narendra Modi about his “acche din” promise a few weeks back has now heaped praise on the Prime Minister for his initiative to curb corruption and fight black money.

Kapil had expressed his angst against corruption in BMC and had accused an officer of bribery. He had tagged the PM in one of his tweets to ask him if these were “acche din”. Soon after Kapil’s tweets made headlines, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis responded to him and assured strict action against the corrupt.  


On Tuesday evening, the PM addressed the nation to announce that from midnight Rs 1000 and Rs 500 would no longer be legal tender. The giant leap was taken to curb corruption and fight black money.
