A fast cable car connecting the resorts of Les Arcs and La Plagne, together with the opening of the brand new ski-in ski-out village Arc 1950, mean that skiers will have even easier access to one of the largest ski domains in the world.
The Vanoise Express cable car, which will come into service in time for the Christmas rush, is the longest of its type ever built, can carry up to 2000 passengers an hour and will link Les Arcs with La Plagne in just four minutes. Visitors to the area, known as Paradiski, will be able to choose from more than 425km of very diverse pistes, including high altitude skiing on glaciers and low-level skiing in the pine forests of Peisey-Vallandry.
Also lined up for inauguration this winter is the five-star traditional alpine village Arc 1950, built amid a hundred-year old pine forest at an altitude of 1950 metres. The village is a mix of studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments, all designed in authentic Savoyard style. Close at hand are an 18-hole golf course, spa and excellent opportunities for hiking, cycling and climbing, making Arc 1950 a year-round resort. Bureau Report
