Washington, Feb 07: US Secretary of State Colin Powell has expressed Bush administration’s dissatisfaction over granting of clemency to Pakistan’s nuclear scientist Abdul Qadeer Khan. Powell said that he will speak to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf about the issue. He would also like to get Pak assurance that no remnants of the nuclear proliferation network remained in the country.
On Wednesday, Abdul Qadeer Khan - the man described as father of Pakistan’s nuclear bomb - publicly confessed leaking nuclear secrets to Iran, Libya and North Korea.
A day later, Pakistan's "national hero" was pardoned by the Pakistani leader, General Pervez Musharraf. Bureau Report
