Chandigarh, Aug 31: Punjab chapter of All India Conference Of Intellectuals (AICOI) today conferred on Punjab Chief Minister, Capt Amarinder Singh the ‘Punjab Ratan Award –2003’ in recognition of his talents and distinguished services rendered by him to the society at a simple ceremony here. Bhisham Narain Singh and national president of the AICOI presented the award.

Addressing the gathering, Singh said that it was a matter of great pride for him to be honoured with this prestigious award and to be amidst the galaxy of intellectuals.

He stressed the need to bring a positive change in our mind-set to improve production both qualitatively and quantitatively in order to compete with multi-national companies.
