Madurai, Nov 07: The administrators of four temples in the district have approached consumer court here requesting it to direct the Madurai Urban Cooperative Bank to repay their deposits of Rs 13.85 lakh along with interest. The temple authorities in their petition said that the bank had failed to repay their deposits, matured several months ago.

The temples that approached the court were Dhandayudha Paniswamy Temple, Sri Meenakshi Sokkanathar Swamy Temple, Karuppanna Swamy Temple and Settigurunathar Swamy Temple.

The court had ordered to issue notice to the bank authorities, officials said.
