Reliance signs pact with Bangaigaon Refinery
Mumbai, Nov 06: Reliance Industries Ltd said today it would provide technical and manufacturing support to Bongaigaon refinery and petrochemicals Ltd, an IOC subsidiary, for achieving full capacity utilisation of the latter`s petrochemical facilities at Dhaligaon, Assam.

Under an agreement between the two companies, RIL would
also help BRPL in marketing the entire output, a Reliance
press release said here.
The alliance will cover the facilities consisting of 34,200 meter per annum of PSF capacity together with 45,000 meter per annum of dimethyl terephthalate (DMT) capacity, which is used as a feedstock for PSF productions. The strategic alliance will help BRPL to turn around its petrochemical businesses, which have been closed for the last two years, it said. The agreement was signed by BRPL Director (operations) R M Hazarika and RIL President (polyester business) Subodh Sapra. According to RIL, the polyester users in the remote North Eastern part of the country would benefit from this new strategic alliance.
