Patna, July 23: Agitated members, cutting across party lines, created uproarious scenes in the Bihar assembly today over the Centre's move to review the decision of creating the east central railway in Hajipur, forcing the chair to adjourn the house till after the lunch. Raising the issue during zero-hour, ruling RJD and opposition NDA MLAs stood up showing unity on the creation of the east central Railway Zone by bifurcating eastern railway, headquartered in Kolkata.
Vociferous NDA MLAs then trooped into the well while ruling RJD members, including Jaiprakash Narayan Yadav and Anirudh Prasad alias Sadhu Yadav, were heard accusing Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee of trying to keep Trinmool Congress leader Mamata Banerjee in good humour.
As the din continued unabated, presiding member Vijyendra Prasad Yadav adjourned the house till after the lunch.
