Chennai, June 09: Former Union Minister and now National President of the Lok Jan Sakthi (LJS) Ram Vilas Paswan claimed today that the BJP would not be able to win even 50 per cent of its existing number of seats in the next Lok Sabha polls. “ If the congress party wants to capture power after the next Lok Sabha polls, it would have to increase its strength in states like Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Jharkhand where 'it is very weak now',” he told reporters here. “All the secular parties must come together before the next Lok Sabha polls, then only the congress would be able to get majority to form the government. In states where the congress was now weak, there were more than 200 Lok Sabha seats and congress party must try to capture them,” he said.
Paswan, who is here to address a workers' meet this afternoon, came down heavily on the Disinvestment policy of the government.
