Bhopal, Nov 13: The Communist Party of India (CPI), Janata Dal (U) and the Samajwadi party today announced their lists for the December 1 Assembly election.
The CPI released its first list of 19 candidates. The party intends to contest on one or two more seats whose candidates would be announced later. Informing this at a press conference, CPI State secretary Mahendra Vajpayee said that the party has an alliance with CPM and the two parties proposed to contest on 30 constituencies in the State.

The Peoples’ Liberation Front, which comprised six fringe parties including the CPI, now stands defunct with Dr Sunilam merging his party in the Samajwadi Party and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) pulling out of the coalition, he said.

However, CPI will continue to have limited understanding with the Rashtriya Samanta Dal and Janta Dal (secular), whose candidates the CPI would support on the seats where it would not be in the fray.

He said that the BJP was the enemy number one for the CPI for its communal stance and anti-poor economic policies but added that the Congress Government in the State, which has had an unbroken stint in the State for the past 10 years, was largely responsible for all the ills plaguing Madhya Pradesh including poor infrastructure, unemployment, tardy economic growth, expensive education and medical facilities and slow pace of industrialisation.

The Janata Dal (U) list includes names of Surinder Sharma (Vijaypur dist Shivpur), Ranvir Singh (Bhind), Harbansh Lal Avasthi (Damoh), Sidhnath Anjna Patel (Ujjain South), Hira Lal Verma (Ghatia-SC Dist Ujjain), Inder Pal Singh, Charan Singh Dubey (Bajag-SC Dist Dindori), Jai Singh Shahpur (SC), Nathu Singh (Jaisingh Nagar Dist Sehdol), Avadh Bihari Mishra (Chitrakut), Rakesh Thakur (Indore) Moolchand Rawat (Seopur), Anil Shukla (Hata dist Damoh), omal Singh Rathore (Ratlam City), Sumaru Kaul (Panagar), Panchlal Sandya (Dindori) and Sunil Mishra (Mundwari Dist Katni).

The third list of Samajwadi Party (SP) announced today has 14 names. The list of candidates announced today has no big names and seem to have small-time political workers with little influence in their respective areas.

They include Mohd Salam Multani from Indore-III, Sadhna Bhatt from Mhow, Bhagvan Din Yadav from Vijayraghogarh, Suresh Chand Gormiya from Gotegaon, Mohan Singh Nigwal from Jobat, Ranjit Singh Bhilala from Bagli, Indrasen Nimonkar from Khategaon, Karan Singh from Badnavar, Ramesh Singh from Badwani, Rammohan from Guna, Daulat Ram from Shadora, Bheru Singh from Petalawad, Rajendra Yadav from Indore II and Ramesh Chandra Gaur from Bhojpur.
