Chandigarh, Oct 27: Senior citizens in Haryana will now be provided health services free of cost, Chief Minister Om Prakash Chautala said today. Inaugurating a health camp at village Idri in Gurgaon district, Chautala said senior citizens were already being provided ophthalmic services and spectacles free of cost by the state government, an official release said here.
The government had also decided to provide 225 medicines free of cost to patients, he said.
The state government had raised the annual budget for health sector from Rs 66 lakh in 1966 to Rs 407 crore at present, the release said.
