New Delhi, Aug 01: Amar Mani Tripathi, former Uttar Pradesh minister said to be close to slain poetess Mudhumita Shukla, has been questioned by the CBI in connection with her murder. Tripathi, who was sacked by UP Chief Minister Mayawati after his name was associated with the slain poetess, was quizzed by the sleuths of special crime branch of the CBI here earlier this week, official sources said. Madhumita was found murdered at her Lucknow residence on May 09. The sources claimed that Tripathi acknowledged that he knew Madhumita after the CBI confronted him with the letters he wrote to the poetess.
